Lasting side effects of Nexium 24HR: Nexium 24HR is under strict quality control program in the U. S. and thereforeonsequicrobial resistance in certain countries. Nexium 24HR is a PPI used to treat frequent heartburn and acid regurgitation. It may also be used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), reflux disorder (PD), and erosive reflux disease (EJD). EES is a widely used form ofEES has been shown to be more effective than esomeprazole against a wide range of infections, including those associatedwith acid reflux, erosive reflux disease (ED), and other types of infections. When used as directed by your doctor, Nexium 24HR may be taken with or without food; do not take it more than once a day. Esomeprazole is used to treat persistent or recurrent acid regurgitation, and to treat reflux, erosive, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Do not take Nexium 24HR if you have had a heart attack within the past half-life, or if you have ever had a stomach ulcer, bleeding, or perforation. Do not take Nexium 24HR if you are pregnant, if you are breastfeeding, or if you plan to become pregnant or breast-feed. Pregnancy... Nexium 24HR may harm your unborn baby. Consult your doctor before taking Nexium 24HR if you are pregnant or planning to have a baby. Nexium 24HR is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet. Patients with known hypersensitivity (including asthmatic patients, allergic to any ingredient contained in Nexium 24HR), or with severe asthma have been reported to have an increased incidence of esophageal ulcers and/or gastrointestinal disorders in patients taking esomeprazole. Nexium 24HR 20 mg enteric coated tablets for the lasting symptomatic relief of frequent heartburn, acid regurgitation and other symptoms associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux.
Always take this medicine exactly as described in the Consumer Medicine Information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is one tablet a day. - Do not take more than this recommended dose of one tablet (20 mg) a day, even if you don't feel an improvement immediately. - You may need to take Nexium 24HR for a few days before experiencing the full effect. - Nexium 24HR should be taken for at least 7 days and up to 14 days. - Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you do not feel better while taking Nexium 24HR. If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing the course, consult your doctor. Further examination may be required.
Always read the label, use only as directed. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you notice any of the following and they worry you: nausea or vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, headache, wind, stomach pain, skin rash, itchy skin, dizziness or dry mouth. These side effects are usually mild. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop. Some medicines may interfere with Nexium 24HR. Do not take Nexium 24HR if you are pregnant unless your doctor says so. Ask your doctor about the risks and benefits involved. It is not known if it is safe for you to take Nexium 24HR while you are pregnant. It may affect your baby. Do not take Nexium 24HR if you are breastfeeding. Ask your doctor for more information. It is not known if Nexium 24HR is excreted in breastmilk if you are breastfeeding.

Some medicines may interact with Nexium 24HR. Do not take this medicine if you are taking nitrates such as glycylphenyl glycine, isosorbide potassium, isosorbide mononitrate, potassium disetting drugs such as isosorbide, disetting drugs, or used to treat HIV. Nitrates are available without a prescription from Dr Fox but Dr Fox has had positive results in children due to symptoms of heart problems and have temporarily overOSE Nexium 24HR to reduce the chance of serious heartburn. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure if you are taking any of the drugs listed above.
Can cause increased heartburn. It is usually well tolerated but your doctor will tell you whether it is related to your medicine or any other reason. If you experience any severe, persistent or bloody stomach pain, notify your doctor. Remember that the role of your doctor is to ensure that you are getting the best medical care possible. This is why this medicine has been prescribed for you only. Do not stop using this medicine even if you feel well. Do not take this medicine without consulting your doctor. It is not known if it is excreted in breast milk.
If you experience any side effects, you should contact your doctor immediately. The most common side effects of this medicine are: redness of the face, dry mouth, nausea, decreased appetite, vomiting, stomach pain, feeling sick, diarrhoea, headache, flushing, dizziness, or feeling faint.
Simpson's 5-alpha reductase inhibitors may cause a temporary increase in blood pressure. Do not take this medicine if you are also taking a medicine called diuretics (used to treat high blood pressure). Ask your doctor what other medicines you are taking.
