Nexium Control Tablets 20mg is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (for example, heartburn and acid regurgitation).

AstraZeneca has received final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its NEXIUM-2 oral solution formulation, which is indicated for the treatment of persistent acid-related symptoms (including dyspepsia). The product’s patent for Nexium-2 was set to expire in 2016.
The US FDA said the company will continue to market its product under a different name and will market its formulation under the name ‘Nexium-2’. The product’s name is different from that of the other AstraZeneca products.
Nexium-2 is indicated for the management of frequent heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults over the age of 12 years. It is also indicated for the management of acid reflux disease in adults over the age of 65 years.

Heartburn is also called acid reflux. GERD is very contagious and can happen to anyone that has it. This is why it is important that people do not come for treatment to prevent it.
